Spirituality and Humor in Poetry

Join us for an afternoon celebrating the sacred and the playful through the written word. Davis poet and author Andy Monheit will share a selection of his own poems and offer a glimpse into what inspires his work — where spirit and humor meet on the page.

Unity Chaplain and Teacher Marcia Ceccato will read one of Rumi's timeless poems, inviting us into the mystical wisdom of this beloved Sufi poet.

And if time allows, Unity Chaplain and author Dorothea "Dottie" Bonneau will introduce us to the art of Haiku — a beautiful, simple form of poetic expression rooted in presence and mindfulness.
