Faith & Hope - The Heart That Trusts
In Unity, Christmas is more than the celebration of an event that happened long ago in Bethlehem. It is an invitation to awaken to the Christ within—the divine presence seeking expression through each of us. The Christmas story reminds us that even in uncertain times, something sacred is always waiting to be born. W1361-1
This Advent, our theme is The Heart of Christmas. Over four Sundays, we will explore the traditional Advent gifts of Hope and Faith, Peace, Love, and Joy—not simply as beautiful ideas of the season, but as spiritual capacities already present within us.
Each week will take us a little deeper:
Hope and Faith invite us to trust.
Peace invites us to become still.
Love invites us to open.
Joy invites us to say yes to life.
Then, on Christmas Eve, we will bring them all together as we celebrate the timeless message of Christmas: The Christ is born in us.
Throughout Advent, we will also use Unity's The Heart of Christmas booklet during our Sunday services and Noon Meditations, allowing its daily readings and reflections to accompany us through the season. Request your free copy here.
Come journey with us as we move beyond the busyness of Christmas and rediscover its heart. Perhaps what we are seeking this Christmas has been waiting within us all along.
The virtual Sunday service begins at 10 AM (Pacific time), and everyone is welcome to join the live stream as early as 9:30 AM to virtually socialize before the service.
