Sunday Service | Sabbath with Rev. Richard Carlini

This Sunday we look at Martha's Five suggestions for Sabbath rest.

"Wholehearted decisions provide less need for rest." I have, however, had to reflect a great deal on the importance of setting up healthy habits for work and rest during this busy season as well as throughout my life. Somewhat paradoxically, I am resting more deliberately and more consistently during this time of my life than I ever have. I have actually learned to rest while I work.

I am also aware that rest is NOT the antidote to exhaustion. Yes, you heard it here. The antidote for exhaustion is actually wholeheartedness. This has been my superpower for the last decade. This includes providing honest yes and honest no responses to the myriad of opportunities that come across my journey. I know that when I begin to feel depleted and cannot quickly renew with a good night’s sleep that I have “left myself,” “left my own integrity,” and have some amending to SELF to do. -- Rev. Martha Creek

The virtual Sunday service begins at 10 AM (Pacific time), and everyone is welcome to join the live stream as early as 9:30 AM to virtually socialize before the service.
